Sandra Ure Griffin grew up in Webster Groves and studied printmaking at the Kansas City Art Institute. She is also a graduate of printmaker Tom Huck’s bootcamp.
      From 2004-2011, as a member of the Bayfield Artists’ Guild, Sandra worked as a full-time artist living in the Northwoods of Wisconsin. She has been back in St. Louis since 2012, creating art, writing and illustrating books, and (as a Springboard Teaching Artist) helping St. Louis children write and illustrate their own books.
      A mother of four and grandmother of six, Sandra is also a songwriter, guitarist, and puppeteer. She draws inspiration from Nature and believes that our most vital tasks are taking care of our Earth and learning to live peacefully with one another.
